Refund Policy
Last updated May 20, 2026
Dogwood holds payment until delivery is confirmed, which protects both clients and creators. This policy describes how refunds work.
Deposits
Deposits reserve your date and are generally non-refundable once a creator has held the date, except where required by law or agreed with the creator. If a creator cancels, the deposit is refunded in full.
Before delivery
Because funds are held until you confirm delivery, you are not paying for work you never receive. If a shoot does not happen and the parties cannot reschedule, contact support to arrange a refund of amounts beyond the non-refundable deposit.
Delivery problems
When a gallery is delivered, you have the review window to confirm it or report a problem (broken link, missing files, wrong shoot, quality). Reporting a problem opens a dispute and holds the funds while Dogwood reviews. Resolutions include a full refund, a partial refund, or releasing payment to the creator.
Auto-release
If you take no action within the review window after delivery, payment is automatically released to the creator. Open a dispute before the window closes if something is wrong.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through our payment processor. Processing times depend on your bank.
